2025 Socio-Economic Monitoring Report: Diavik Diamond Mine

We are sharing this message on behalf of Diavik

---

To our community partners and stakeholders,

We are pleased to provide you with an electronic copy of Diavik’s 2025 Socio-Economic Monitoring Agreement Report.

The report includes employment and business spend data, along with our commitments to safety, training, scholarships, community donations, and individual and community wellbeing.

We would like to highlight the following information:

  • Employment at Diavik mine was 1,109 employees and contractors (full time equivalent) in 2025, a reduction of approximately 13% from 2024.

  • The percentage of Northern workforce increased slightly, to 35%.

  • Despite a multi-year diamond market downturn, Diavik streamlined our operations and ended 2025 in a strong financial position, producing over 4.4 million carats.

  • Diavik’s lifetime production crossed 150 million carats in 2025, the first diamond mine to do so in North America.

  • Business spend overall decreased to $327 million, a reduction of 15% from $382 million in 2024.

  • Spend with Northern businesses came to almost C$241 million, representing 74% of total spend, a slight decrease over the previous year (75%).

  • Since 2000, Diavik has spent $8 billion with Northern businesses, and $4.1 billion with Northern Indigenous businesses.

  • Diavik achieved a 0.10 all injury frequency rate in 2025, our lowest ever. Zero lost time injuries were recorded in 2025.

  • Diavik provided over $226,000 in scholarship funding in 2025, bringing our lifetime total to approximately $5 million.

We are happy to discuss the contents of the report with you at your convenience. If you have any questions or would like to set up a meeting, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Diavik Corporate Relations
