BridgeWorks Career Development & Transition Support Programme

The decision to pause the Tuzo Phase 3 expansion has been difficult for everyone. We recognize the uncertainty this creates, and we are focused on ensuring the team is supported and equipped for success during this transition period.

That’s why we are introducing BridgeWorks – Career Development & Transition Support Programme. BridgeWorks is a comprehensive package designed to help you take the next steps in your career, so you don’t have to navigate this change on your own. BridgeWorks reflects our values and our commitment to meaningful support. The “Bridge” represents guidance, connection, and support — not a quick exit. “Works” reflects real action, including practical tools and hands-on assistance to help you plan what comes next.

We’re pleased to announce two Skills Development Program workshops hosted on site May 5-6 and May 20-21 by the Government of the Northwest Territories. This program is focused on NWT resident-employees and will include information on education, retraining and financial support opportunities.

Please watch for additional information. Through BridgeWorks, supports will also include:

• Résumé writing, job search, and interview skills

• Financial literacy support, including retirement planning

• Insight into entrepreneurship and business development

• Access to retraining and reskilling programs

• On-site job fair opportunities

To deliver these supports, we are working with trusted partners including the NWT Mine Training Society, the Government of the Northwest Territories, Aurora College, Telus Health (Employee Assistance Program), Sun Life, and others.

While many BridgeWorks supports are available to all Gahcho Kué team members, contractor employees should speak with their employers to understand the opportunities are also available through their companies.

Please watch for updates and information through email, Dayforce (ePay), TV Republic, Channel 4, and bulletin boards around the mine. You can also email info.canada@debeersgroup.com to request that your personal email address be added to the BridgeWorks distribution list.

• If the situation at Gahcho Kué has resulted in personal distress, please speak with a Mental Health First Aider or contact the Employee Assistance Program for support.

We know that job changes affect people, families, and communities—not just positions. BridgeWorks is intended to be inclusive, respectful, and accessible. The more you engage with the program, the more you’ll get out of it. Support is there to be used, in the way that works best for you.
