De Beers Group has an opportunity within the Technical Services Department at the Gahcho Kué Mine based in the Northwest Territories for a highly motivated Survey Technician. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the incumbent will provide technical expertise in the area of construction, open pit and surface surveying to aid in the open pit production and surface maintenance groups. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm.
Key Responsibilities:
Staking production drill patterns and dig limits, ore bodies & dump limits;
Providing calculations, as-built drawings and records in support of all survey activities;
Generating daily updates of survey data and maintaining the survey network and control;
Verifying the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations;
Maintaining drawings and plans according to the applicable NWT regulations;
Assisting with Dyke Construction layout;
Establishing and maintaining sound working relationships with co-workers;
Supporting the mine site-wide with various requests; and
Care and maintenance of all Survey Equipment.
